Today Energy (M.P.) Pvt. Ltd. (TEMPPL) is a company promoted by Today Homes & Infrastructure Private Limited, a Group Today Company planning to put up power projects at strategic locations across India.

Today Homes & Infrastructure Pvt Ltd. is a well established enterprise in the field of Real Estate Development with a number of Residential, Retail and Commercial projects Delivered and Under Development. Apart from real estate the Group Today is also in the business of Hospitality.

Over a period of next 5 years, the Company is committed to set up facilities to generate more than 5000 MW of power, largely coal-based. The expansion will be fuelled by setting up Greenfield projects as well as extension in existing power plants. Discussions at various levels with concerned authorities are already in progress.

The power projects are planned to be diverse in geographic location, fuel type, fuel source & off take, and each project is planned to be strategically located near an available fuel supply load center.

Power generated from these units will be sold under the combination of long term and short term PPAs to state owned/private distribution companies and industrial consumers. Discussions are already in progress.
News & Events
  1. Land: 732 Acres (approx.) of land (including 64 Acres of Govt. land) in contiguous stretch has been purchased and is in possession of the company, which is adequate to set up 1320 (2x660) MW Supercritical coal based units.

  2. Water: Firm allocation of 40 cusec water granted by Water Resource Deptt. (WRD), GOMP in November 2007

  3. Environmental Clearance: Approval of Terms of Reference (TOR) for EIA study etc. was accorded by MOEF in September 2007. Public Hearing Committee meeting was held on 19.06.2009.

  4. Coal: In November 2009, Central Electricity Authority (CEA) has asked Today Energy (M.P.) Pvt. Ltd. (TEMPPL) to furnish details for pre-qualification, for fixing inter-se priority to prepare a shelf of 12th plan project awaiting coal linkage. As per laid down criteria by Ministry of Power (MOP) for 12th plan projects for long term coal linkage, TEMPPL is eligible for full points. Meeting of Long Term Coal Linkage Committee is expected shortly.

  5. Defence Clearance : Already obtained from Defence Estate Office, Jabalpur on 11.07. 2007.

  6. Chimney Height Clearance : Already obtained from Airports Authority of India was accorded on 20.02.2008.

  7. Rail Transport Clearance from Ministry of Railway (Railway Board) was accorded on 12.07.2007 for establishing railway siding at the Project Site.
